This Week's Free Lab Radio Show - Remember Me

This week's show is a progression from last week's mix, for long summer car journeys.

This week it's all about singing along to lyrics in the car. A mix of obscure and guilty pleasures, lyric-laden tracks for the discerning listener who sings in the shower, the car, in their head as they walk down the street...

The Overheated Motor mix is available for free download below, currently. Grab it!

Listen in at 11-midnight (BST) on 104.4FM in London or online otherwise. Repeats Wednesday 2am.

This Week: #FreeLabRadio - Overheated Motor

Overheated Motor

Free Lab Radio host Fari Bradley presents a mix for cars on long journeys in blazing summer heat. Broadcasts 11pm Saturday night BST (British Summer Time), repeats Wednesday 2am.

Featured are the La Chiva Gantiva, DJ Schmolli, Mr Oizo, Noir Désir, Beastie Boys, Persian (from Essex), Wildbirds and Peacedrums, Alek AK (Iran), Stromae and more.

"Ou es ton papa?" - "Where's your papa?" which is what Stromae is saying people always asked him at school. It's a very diligent match to the Prodigy track, which is about doing a thing intensely, to a more than harmful degree.

Listen on air across London 104.4FM, online otherwise.

This Week's Free Lab Radio - WFMU Takeover

Proof that Mandl was once in the UK
Guest DJ this week is broadcaster DAVID MANDL. The Brooklyn-based WFMU stalwart, Wire writer and muse-o constructs a bespoke playlist for us this week on Free Lab Radio, featuring traces of near-jazz, anti-rock, post-punk, and other unidentified flying genres. What a record collection!

Mandl hosts the radio show “World of Echo” on ResonanceFM's US sister station - WFMU, he is also
Music Editor, at the Brooklyn Rail and as a freelancer has written/edited/reported for the Wire, The Register, The Believer, Rumpus, Flavorwire, Village Voice, Mute, Semiotext(e), Yeti, American Book Review, Sound Collector, Chicago Reader and more.

Aside from taking stunning photographs, Mandl co-founded the Conflux festival and is a bass guitar and drum player. And a dad. Listen in on Resonance 104.4FM Saturday 11pm til midnight, or catch the repeat on Wed 2.30am (GMT).

IF ResonanceFM's Pensioner's Show Took a Pill

Our weekly pensioner's show DAGE on ResonanceFM were the only show to get us into trouble with Ofcom, the UK broadcast regulator. They've always had a reputation for being wild, with their chequered histories and sense of humour, but could they raise the bar on The Zimmers? Here they are, finally with a budget and a music video director....and a sack of hair spray and eyeliner.
